Th Atlanta-area rapper known for the 2015 hit “Watch Me (Whip/ Nae Nae)” has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of his cousin, according to multiple reports.

Silento, 23, whose real name is Ricky Lamar Hawk, was taken into custody by Dekalb County police Monday, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and is being investigated in the shooting death of Frederick Rooks, 34. The AJC reported Hawk was booked into Dekalb jail on one count of murder, according to police. It said he is being held without bond.

According to the paper, police responding to a shots fired call at 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 21 found Rooks dead at the scene “with multiple gunshot wounds.” It said that police reported that after a “thorough investigation,” which included gathering evidence from “multiple residents’ security cameras,” “detectives identified Hawks as Rooks’ cousin, and the person responsible for Rooks’ murder.”

It’s the latest, and darkest, run-in with the law for Hawk, according to the AJC.

It reported he was arrested twice in one week in August in connection to domestic violence, and was arrested in October after he was caught going “more than 140 mph on I-85.”
