As customers waited in the drive-thru lane of a Popeye’s restaurant in Lantana, four women got out of a car, attacked an employee and grabbed cash from the register before fleeing, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

Another drive-thru customer recorded the attack on video.

Deputies are searching for the four women involved in the robbery that happened just after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen restaurant at 7049 Seacrest Blvd.

The women drove off in a silver-gray Nissan Sentra with a Florida license plate of GVZP04.

When they drove up to the window one of the women passengers got into an argument with the cashier, spat at and then attacked the employee.

Three other women got out of the car and began attacking two other employees inside the restaurant. One of the women reached into the window and grabbed money from the register before the group drove off, detectives said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the robbery or the identities of the women to call Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800-458-8477 or online at crimestopperspbc.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
