A pedestrian in Alabama was reportedly shot while crossing the street, after his assailant felt he was taking too long.

Johnarian Travez Allen was crossing the street Thursday evening in Union Springs, when Jeremiah Wesley Penn reportedly shot him for crossing slowly.

According to WSFA, Union Springs Police Chief Danny Jackson reported that Penn had turned himself in to law enforcement.

Frustrated with Allen’s slow walking, Penn dismounted from his vehicle and opened fire on Allen.

Penn is being held in the Bullock County Jail on capital murder charges.

The incident is under investigation.
