Man tased, arrested after trying to break into Georgia airport

Exclusive footage from an incident outside of an airport in Georgia shows a man fleeing the police after trying to break in.

The camera footage was taken on Thursday by Matthew Craig, an employee at Falcon Field Airport, located in Peachtree City, Georgia.

“A man tried to break in by pulling the door and broke our door,” Craig said in an exclusive interview. “We called the cops.”

Craig then said that the man “got in his car and fled” after police arrived.

The unknown trespasser then “smacked the curb and crashed right up the road.”

Bailing from his vehicle, the suspect then ran back to the airport and got arrested at the same location he fled from.

LT. Chris Hyatt of the Peachtree City Police Department identified the suspect as 54-year-old Michael Harvey of Newnan, GA.

Harvey had initially been asked to leave the airport, after he was heard mumbling incoherently about “waiting for the government.”

Harvey had damaged a side door at the airport prior to his encounter with law enforcement.

Harvey was charged with a series of offenses, which include [but are not limited to] criminal damage to property, obstruction, loitering, fleeing with attempt to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and driving on a suspended license.
