Ted Wayman, a reporter for WCVB, was the victim of a stabbing reported near Dartmouth and Boylston streets in Boston’s South End neighborhood on Sunday, according to the Boston Globe.

The television station confirmed that Wayman was reporting on a story Sunday evening when the incident took place, the Globe reports.

A photojournalist working with Wayman helped him with his injuries, the Globe reports. Police responded to a call about a stabbing around 9:05 p.m. on Sunday.

Wayman was taken to a local hospital and is “going to be fine,” Ro Dooley Webster, a spokeswoman for WCVB, told the Globe.

Boston police identified 44-year-old Cirilo Aldana-Peraedes as the suspect in the stabbing. Police said Aldana-Peraedes used a pair of scissors to stab the victim in the forearms.

Aldana-Peraedes was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
