Update 7:00 PM EST – The man who attempted to break into an FBI facility in Ohio has been identified after being pronounced dead.
Ricky Walter Shiffer was shot dead by police on Thursday after pointing a firarm towards officers around 3pm, the Ohio state highway patrol confirmed.

A man in Ohio is currently holding out in a cornfield near the FBI Cincinnati field office after he attempted to siege the building.
The man, who is allegedly wearing body armor and equipped with both rifle and nail gun, has been contained in a cornfield in the Wilmington area.
According to ABC News, the suspect appears to have a gunshot wound to his leg but is still a threat.
A one-mile lockdown has been established and a standoff has ensued.

Locals have been urged to lock their doors and remain inside until told to do otherwise.
So far, no officers have been injured and the situation is ongoing.
